I’ve decided that through election day I am not going to watch or listen to any news. I’m going to do a news fast. Sure, I know its what some are calling the most important election of our time but hey, I’ve already cast my ballot and for me it doesn’t really matter which of the two corporate candidates get elected as neither will be given the ability to make the real change needed. Besides, what is it they always say “No news is good news”? I think that saying is even more true today. I mean, take a look at the news that gets reported. It’s rarely positive or uplifting. Instead it concentrates on the negative, the crime, the “what did that crazy celebrity do now” type of news. It’s sensationalistic journalism that sells these days. When CNN spends hours of coverage on Anna Nicole Smiths drug death you know we are in trouble. If you continuously surround yourself in negativity then that is most likely what you will attract.
