Black Friday

The turkey and all the fixings are now fully digested and the remains of the carcass are awaiting compilation into a turkey sandwich. It’s officially Black Friday and millions are braving the weather and the crowds to find the deal of a lifetime on junk they never knew they needed. Why is it every year some poor sap gets trampled in the mad rush to get through the doors of a Walmart? Are we really so uncaring that we are willing to cause death and injury in order to be the first to grab some cheap junk off the shelf? I’ve never felt the primal calling to stand in line in the dark hours of the morning waiting for the doors of salvation to open and impart the blessings of 50% off. I guess I’m not genetically wired to be an impulse buyer which is the curse I have to bear. Instead I spend weeks if not months tediously researching and comparing features and prices to make sure I get that deal of a lifetime. To those out there that are impulse buyers…I salute your tenacity and resolve in your Black Friday pursuits. Happy Hunting!!
